Our Story
Blackberry Farmstead is a small 23-acre farm located in Toccoa, Georgia. We started here in 2001 with nothing more than a bare piece of land and a dream. Over time, we built a house, a couple of barns, started a family, added some animals and grew some food. Utilizing Maggie's Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture and Richard's unstoppable work ethic, we began to produce what we consume and secure a clean food supply and strive for a self-sufficient lifestyle.
On Blackberry Farmstead, we farm using the principles of sustainable agriculture in order to protect the environment, our community and the welfare of our animals. We strive to grow and produce as naturally and organically as possible. Our animals are lovingly raised using ethical, sustainable and natural practices. Every product we sell is handmade, one batch at a time, using the principles of sustainable agriculture in order to bring you items that are naturally and responsibly made.
